Synchronous Belt Drives help reduce the problems of slippage, belt stretch, lubrication, and metal-to-metal contact. They provide superior performance because power is transmitted by positive engagement of belt teeth rather than by friction, as in conventional belt drives.

In addition to an extensive belt drive line, Browning® now offers two synchronous belt drive offerings. These lines serve applications up to 600 HP. They include the HPT^® High Performance Timing drive line and many additional sizes of the proven Browning^® Gearbelt^® Drive line. Added selections include double Gearbelt belts which furnish a variety of design solutions for changing shaft rotations.
