The BR Series Clutch has cams that are designed to lift-off and have no contact with either the inner or outer race when it overruns. This provides extended overrunning wear life. These cam clutches are suitable for overrunning high speed inner race/low speed engaged outer race. Alternatively, they can be operated as backstopping high speed inner race overrunning. The symmetrical design allows operation in either direction. External bearing support for the shaft must be provide for concentricity between the housing and the shaft.
